THE LONG ROOM (principal hall, 1911 fabric)

Seated capacity 74; see fire notice. Chairs counted, not estimated.

Floor falls 90 mm north to south over 11 m. Pegs read each March.

Hearing loop, fitted 2016, tested annually.

Contents: 74 chairs, 6 trestles, reading desk, piano (unplayable, retained).

Standing fault: it is the warm room, and things are put in it.

THE SMALL KITCHEN (scullery)

Not registered for the public meal. Notice on the door to that effect.

Contents: sink, cooker, 6 mugs, 1 kettle. See below.

THE COLD ROOM (record room, 1911 barn, unheated)

Four steps from the yard. No handrail on the left; noted 2018, noted 2022.

Blankets (4) and cotton gloves (12 pairs) at the door.

Temperature logged daily. Range in 2024: -6 to 14 degrees.

Papers are brought to the long room on request. The request is not recorded.

THE EAST TABLE (long room, under the north-east window)

Oak, 2.7 m. Knee clearance 71 cm. Two chairs removable.

ITEMS NOT ASSIGNED TO A ROOM

1 kettle. A slate is kept in the passage for the recording of its location.
