To the members of the Rangeley Circle —
The stewardship has withdrawn the recognition of the circle with effect from 30 November. This notice records what has been done and what has not.
The Circle Book is closed. Its final return has been deposited at the North House and the book itself is held there. Any member may read it, and may have a copy of any page in it, by writing to the steward.
The room key has been returned to the library service, with the Institute's thanks, and the booking is discharged to the end of the quarter as agreed.
Correspondence for the circle will be held at the North House and answered there. If you wish your own correspondence redirected, say so and it will be.
Nothing in this notice affects the standing of any member. You remain members of the Institute on the same terms as before, and the record of your participation is continuous. You are welcome at the Bangor Circle, at the North House, and at any other house or circle; you are equally welcome to attend nothing for a while and to say nothing about it.
The circle met for twenty years and delivered a good deal of firewood. That is in the book too.
— M. Evensen, Steward, North House
