Stewardship Meeting — Minutes

Present: T. Orrell (chair), M. Sandoval, P. Amiot, G. Idris, one steward attending by correspondence.

Apologies: E. Vale.

1. RESUMPTION OF PUBLICATION. The chair reported that the Journal has not appeared since Michaelmas 1982. Members continue to write asking for a reason. It was agreed that no reason would be given beyond “an internal matter of continuity, now concluded”.

2. THE RECORD. proposed that the Record be consolidated into a single account held at the North House rather than maintained house by house. objected that a single account creates a single point of authority. The objection was noted. The proposal carried, four in favour.

3. concerning the twelve members described in item 6 of the previous meeting. It was agreed that these members are to be recorded as no longer continuous and that no further correspondence be entered into. asked whether the members had been informed. The chair said that they had been informed in the manner previously agreed.

4. THE WESTERN HOUSE. Deferred.

5. Reported that the arrangement has been renewed on the same terms for a further ten years.

6. ANY OTHER BUSINESS. G. Idris asked that her dissent from item 3 be recorded. It is recorded.

Next meeting: the first Thursday after the reconciliation.
