Stewardship Meeting — Minutes, February 2026

Present: M. Evensen (chair), N. Whitlock, G. Sørhaug (attending for item 3), four stewards, two by correspondence.

1. RECONCILIATION. The Record was reconciled and the revision entered as 31.6.

2. THE ANNUAL COUNT. Taken and entered under PRO/2001/03. The two figures do not agree and were not made to agree.

3. PUBLICATION, WITHDRAWAL AND THE OBLIGATIONS OF THE RECORD. The memoranda MEM/2025/04 and MEM/2025/07 were taken together, having been circulated in April and September. The chair invited a rule and none was proposed that a majority would carry.

The meeting agreed the following. No general rule was adopted. Existing closures will be reviewed individually until the question is reconciled. The criteria at PRO/2026/01 are to be used in the meantime and are not to be treated as settling the principle.

It was further agreed that both memoranda are printed in full, that the matter is entered on the standing register of disputes, and that it is reviewed at the February meeting in each year until it is closed.

N. Whitlock asked that it be recorded that a review conducted annually is, from the point of view of the person waiting for it, an annual refusal. It is recorded.

G. Sørhaug asked that it be recorded that he agrees with the preceding sentence. It is recorded.

4. CORRESPONDENCE. COR/2025/188 was read. The treatment at CAT/2025/12 was noted and left undisturbed.

5. ANY OTHER BUSINESS. The kitchen at River House. Deferred, as in November.

Next meeting: the first Thursday after the reconciliation.
