REGISTER OF HOLDING ENTITIES REG/2013/02

There is no single legal person called the Continuance Institute which owns

anything. Property is held by six local bodies, each governed by its own

members under its own law:

Continuance North, Inc. Maine, USA. 501(c)(3).

Holds North, River, Orchard, Briar.

Continuance Atlantic Society Nova Scotia, Canada. Registered society.

Holds Shore, Cedar.

The Fell Trust England and Wales. Registered charity.

Holds Fell. Leases Lantern.

Kraško društvo Continuance Slovenia. Registered association.

Holds Karst.

Continuance Aotearoa Trust New Zealand. Charitable trust.

Holds South.

The Central Office Maine. Unincorporated. Holds nothing;

employs the salaried posts and is funded

by a levy of 6% on house income.

CONSEQUENCE, stated because it is regularly misunderstood: the stewardship

cannot direct a house to sell, spend, close, or transfer anything. It can

record a finding, publish it, and withhold the levy's services. That is the

whole of its power over property and it has twice been insufficient.

CONSEQUENCE, second: a house which left the Institute would keep its

building. This has been raised at every reconciliation since 1988 and no

change has been made, because the alternative is central ownership and the

stewardship has judged central ownership the greater risk.

Lantern House is leased and not owned. The lease expires in 2031 and the

landlord has not said whether it will be renewed.
