ACCESSION NOTE ACC/1999/03

Received into the Common Record, accessions CR-V-0001 to CR-V-0418.

The personal effects of Eleanor Vale recovered following the October fire were received into the Common Record under accessions CR-V-0001 to CR-V-0418. Items are listed in the schedule appended to the house copy.

Condition. Of 418 items, 96 show smoke damage and 41 show water damage from the making safe. Twelve are conserved and boxed separately. Four are retained unconserved at the instruction of the archivist, who considered that conservation would remove more than it preserved.

Not received: the reading copy of the Founding Letter, the second likeness, and the correspondence files for 1994 to 1998. These are recorded as not held.

Entered by the archivist. Checked at the reconciliation, February 2000.

The schedule is issued on application. Accession numbers are continuous with the general sequence.
