THE WEDNESDAY MEAL — FOR THE KITCHEN WALL
1. Those who cook do not serve. Those who serve do not wash.
2. The rota is kept on the back of this sheet. If you cannot come, cross your name out yourself; do not ask someone else to do it.
3. One place is laid over and left available for anyone who arrives late from the yards. It is cleared with the rest.
4. Repairs, deliveries and the coal account are discussed after the meal and not during it.
5. Visitors are welcome twice without explanation. After that we will ask you to take a turn on the rota, which is not a hardship.
Fairhaven Settlement, Bangor. Printed by the settlement.
Cataloguer's note (2007): held in the antecedents series. The settlement was a temperance and mutual-aid body founded 1911 and wound up 1969. It had no relation to the Institute and no member in common that the Record can establish.
