Caption, verso, printed slip:

“FAIRHAVEN SETTLEMENT, BANGOR — the Wednesday table. For the Thursday edition. Not used.”

Description: a long deal table under two pendant lamps, laid for about eighteen, with fourteen persons seated or standing. Plain crockery, no cloth. A rota sheet is pinned to the wall at the left, illegible at this size. One place at the far end is laid and unoccupied.

Condition: good. Press crop marks in blue pencil.

Cataloguer's note (2007): the arrangement of the room resembles the arrangement of a House kitchen and there is no reason to think it is anything other than what a settlement dining hall looked like in 1965. No person in the frame has been identified. No mark, device or emblem appears.

Held in the antecedents series. Not reproduced in publications.
