Provenance: A copy print, made from an original that is not held. It came in with material returned to the archive in 1999 and is entered as returned rather than as given.

Description: copy print from an original not held. Ten figures on four steps, five to each side of the front door, which stands open. Each figure is turned somewhat away from the doorway. The interior beyond the door does not register.

Condition: fair for a copy. Loss of detail in the shadows, consistent with copying rather than with the original exposure.

Not recorded: Date. Nothing is written on the reverse. House. The building has not been matched to a property in the register. Names. Ten people are in the frame and none of them is identified.

Cataloguer's note (1999): Entered with the material returned to the archive in the year of the recovery. The accession note gives no house. The building has been compared with the ten properties in the register and matched to none of them; the comparison is held with the accession.

Cataloguer's note (2013): A reader identified the clothing as of the middle 1950s. The catalogue does not date a print from its clothing, and the entry remains undated.
