Standing: Print held. Common Record, house-fabric series.

Provenance: Made by a house clerk during a reconciliation week and left with the archive. The clerk's name is on the envelope and is not published at their request.

Description: digital print on archival stock. Document boxes and filing drawers to both walls for the length of the corridor. One figure in a pale coat stands at the far end, where the walls of the passage close towards the door. The far end is out of focus; the near shelving is sharp.

Condition: good. No handling damage. The print is one of eleven made that week, of which four are held and the remainder were not accessioned.

Not recorded: The day within the week. The person standing at the far end of the corridor, who is not named on the print or in the accession note.

Cataloguer's note (2011): Entered with the house-fabric series rather than with the reconciliation papers, the subject being a room and not a proceeding.

Cataloguer's note (2019): During the access survey the corridor was measured at eleven metres. The figure in the print stands beyond that measure. The surveyor recorded the discrepancy as an effect of the lens and the entry is left as it is.

Reconciled with the Common Record. Held with the house-fabric series.
