Dear Mrs. Aldiss —
Forgive a tedious request. I returned my working notes to the department in June, as required, and I should now like a second copy of them made for my own use before the vacation.
I have been sent a copy already. It is not the difficulty. The difficulty is that the copy I have been sent is not in every respect the copy I returned, and I would like a second one so that I may compare the two and establish where the fault lies — the copying, the collation, or, as is most probable, my own transcription.
I do not wish this raised with the Faculty. It is a clerical matter and I have no desire to be interesting about it.
If it is easier, I will come down and stand at the machine myself. I have done duller things this term.
Yours very sincerely,
— A. Wren
Held at the North House with the rest of the deposit. Carbon copy. The reply, if there was one, is not in the deposit.
