Local history

Provisional 2011, recognised 2012. It is the only circle in the register that meets on a Saturday morning, an arrangement made because most of its members work evenings.

The outward obligation

Food

Kitchen shift, held with a neighbourhood shelter kitchen.

Two Saturday shifts a month, cooking and clearing, arranged by the shelter's own rota.

The forms it carries

  • The Quiet Twelve

Twelve minutes are kept before the reading. Nothing is assigned to the silence.

  • The Repair Table

A table, a bench, or a marked shelf where ordinary objects wait to be mended.

Local variation. Meetings are held in Spanish and English on alternate weeks; the twelve minutes are the same in both.
