Local history

Recognised in 2004. Its outward hours have exceeded its meeting hours in every year but one, which the review of 2019 examined and found unobjectionable.

The outward obligation

Repair and restoration

Porch and step repair, held with a neighbourhood housing repair programme.

Steps, rails, and porches for households on the programme's waiting list. Materials are paid for by the Institute.

The forms it carries

  • The Quiet Twelve

Twelve minutes are kept before the reading. Nothing is assigned to the silence.

  • The Repair Table

A table, a bench, or a marked shelf where ordinary objects wait to be mended.
