Local history

Provisional 2013, recognised 2014. Attendance has never exceeded twelve and the circle has stated in three consecutive returns that it does not intend it to.

The outward obligation

Transport and winter provision

Winter provision, held with a neighbourhood mutual aid group.

Fuel, shovelling, and the telephone round in weather. The circle keeps a list of nine households and does not add to it lightly.

  • The Quiet Twelve

    Twelve minutes are kept before the reading. Nothing is assigned to the silence.

  • The Weather Entry

    Before the first shared meal of the month, one person writes the weather in the house book.
