The Houses

Eleven houses are maintained. Write before visiting. Every house will feed a person who arrives unannounced, but not every house has a bed free, and two of them are a long way from a bus.

A house not listed here is not a house of the Institute, whatever it may call itself. Two such enquiries reached us last year.


The Western House does not receive visitors and does not keep a telephone. Correspondence for the Western House should be addressed care of the North House and will be forwarded on the Thursday post. Members undertaking the western reconciliation are written to directly.
