Local history

Recognised in 2002. The bench was proposed in the circle's provisional year and has run since, with a six-month suspension in 2020 recorded plainly in the return.

The outward obligation

Repair and restoration

Furniture bench, held with a resettlement housing charity described in the return only as such.

Repairing and delivering donated furniture to households setting up from nothing. Roughly forty deliveries a year.

The forms it carries

  • The Quiet Twelve

Twelve minutes are kept before the reading. Nothing is assigned to the silence.

  • The Repair Table

A table, a bench, or a marked shelf where ordinary objects wait to be mended.

Local variation. The repair table is the outward work; the circle has not separated the two and sees no reason to.

The shared forms, as they are kept in the houses
